Holy Week and Easter Services
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday (The Sunday of the Passion) on March 24. We will celebrate Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. This service will be live streamed on Facebook.
On March 28 at 5:45 p.m., we will have a Maundy Thursday dinner and service. The meal will be a pitch-in, so please bring a dish to share. If you don’t have time to fix something for the pitch-in, please feel welcome to come and join the dinner anyway. The service will include Bible readings from the Maundy Thursday lectionary and foot washing. This event will take place in the church basement and everyone is invited, including children.
A service of the Stations of the Cross will be held at 3 p.m. on Good Friday, March 29.
An evening Good Friday service will be held at 6:30 p.m. This service will be live streamed on Facebook.
The Great Vigil of Easter will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. During this service, we will kindle a new fire and renew our baptismal vows. The service culminates in the first Eucharist of Easter in celebration of the risen Christ. This service will be live streamed on Facebook.
The good news of Easter will be celebrated with Holy Eucharist at one 10 a.m. service on March 31. (This is a time change from what was previously published in the annual calendar.) Children are invited to attend a special Easter activity in the Apple house at 10 a.m. that morning. Our Easter egg hunt will take place after the service. Children are encouraged to bring Easter baskets for the egg hunt. We will have grocery bags available for egg collecting as well. The 10 a.m. Easter service will be live streamed on Facebook.
